Puppy & Kitten Care

The more knowledgeable you are about your pet, the better you will be able to care for them. We are happy to provide you with all the assistance you require.

A comprehensive physical check will be performed on your puppy or kitten to look for illnesses or developmental concerns. A fecal flotation will be conducted to screen for intestinal parasites, which afflict many puppies and kittens. We will also discuss a vaccination schedule as well as a parasite treatment and prevention program that is suited to your pet’s individual needs at this time.

Why Choose Our Puppy & Kitten Care Services?

These first appointments are not only for vaccines but also to help guide you through what to expect as your pet grows. Behavior, parasites, pet safety, training, socialization, and desensitization techniques – Village Veterinary Hospital is here to help.

Every minute is priceless in the early years of your pet’s existence. Our specialized puppy and kitten care services are intended to assist your young animals as they set out on their growth and development adventure. The following are the main advantages of selecting Village Veterinary Hospital for the care of your puppy or kitten:

Expert Guidance and Support:

Our skilled veterinarian, Dr. Kelly Jones, is committed to assisting you as you embark on the exciting journey of raising a puppy or kitten. We offer professional advice on everything from nutrition and vaccinations to behavior and socialization. We also understand the unique needs and challenges that come with these young pets.

Preventive Care for a Healthy Future:

Your puppy or kitten needs early veterinarian care to set the groundwork for a healthy life. A complete health exam, vaccines, parasite control, and dental care are all part of our puppy and kitten wellness visits. Early detection of potential health issues helps provide the foundation for long-term well-being.

Wellness Exams:

Exams on pediatric patients are conducted roughly every 3 to 4 weeks due to how quickly your pet is changing and growing. Each exam will be thorough, and we will discuss house training, enrichment, parasites, immunizations, spay or neuter, nutrition, as well as many other important topics that are special to pediatric patients. We will give any necessary vaccinations and deworm your pet as well.

Vaccinations:

Many diseases are avoidable with regular pet vaccines. We’ll ensure your pet is up-to-date on vaccines and put them on a regimen to stay up-to-date from their first visit to Village Veterinary Hospital.
